The Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc ski area has generalized the principles of eco-grooming: :

• - Training of grooming machine drivers in eco-driving to consume less fuel,
• - Use of less polluting fuel and oils,
• - Recycling of engine oils and lubricants
• - Reduction of idling hours (when a machine is running at a standstill),
• - Renewal of the grooming equipment fleet in order to take advantage of the latest generation engines meeting antipollution standards.

The result is a reduction in fuel consumption and therefore less polluting emissions for the mountains.
